Are you ready to strengthen your lower body this month? Together with our partner Reebok we’re challenging you to perform a wall sit every day during the month of September. The wall sit is an isometric exercise that strengthens the quadriceps and hamstrings. You don’t need any equipment or even a lot of time or space to do your daily wall-sits. As you begin the challenge, start with setting your timer for a period of time that’s challenging to you. Then work towards increasing your time throughout the month. Remember, the only competition is you! Make sure you’re using proper form and advancing at a pace that makes sense for your situation and goals. Always check with your doctor to discuss any pre-existing conditions you may have, and to ensure you’re healthy enough to perform this, or any other exercise. (More on that here.)
