Exercise boosts mood, improves sleep, and reduces pregnancy aches and pains (source). More importantly, it prepares you for childbirth by strengthening your muscles.
Now, that I have given birth to Jada, I wholeheartedly agree that exercise helped me keep my stamina during pregnancy and child birth in addition to recovering afterwards.
I didn’t change much about my exercise during the first trimester. However, I was mindful of exertion and didn’t try to set any records! A couple of helpful posts:
This is where I started to modify exercises and workout duration. I began to notice a decline in my stamina which was a hard pill to swallow!
With a growing belly, I focused more on maintaining my strength and simply moving!
Exercise After Pregnancy
Soak up time with that little one(s) and when YOU feel ready, you can exercise. But, make sure it’s because YOU want to. Each woman’s body responds differently to pregnancy, so allow yourself this grace and ample time for healing.
