How do you define FitFluential?
I define FitFluential as any person who embodies, embraces and embarks on a permanent health and fitness journey. It doesn’t matter if you are entering your 10th Ironman Triathlon or you are taking your first step in a journey to lose 100 pounds.
It matters what you do next. After all, FitFluential’s motto is Eat, Sleep, Move and Enjoy.
What is your main motivation to be fit?
It’s simple for me. I like to look good and feel good. Longevity is an additional motivator for staying fit.
FitFluential believes the keys to balance are Eat, Sleep, Move and Enjoy. What is your favorite way to enjoy life?
If it’s beach related, you can find me there. I enjoy everything under the sun and on the sand from surfing to kayaking to laying in the sun.
What is your regular fitness routine?
I try all types of fitness workouts, but the basics seem to work for me. You can usually find me doing the 3 sets of 10 reps or a standard pyramid bodybuilding routine. I do agree that boredom is one of the #1 reasons people give you on their fitness routine, so I suggest and try to incorporate everything from yoga to martial arts into my routines.
What advice do you have for someone at the beginning of their fitness journey?
You need two ingredients: Knowledge and Motivation. Knowledge is all around you. Just google workouts or diet and you can sort out the best stuff— it’s not rocket science. Motivation is a little different, surround yourself with great motivators: friends, family, workout buddies, even motivational notes. Try this one: “Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.” –Confucius
