Brian Kelley ran his first marathon in the fall of 2006 in Florence, Italy. Since then he has continued to improve upon his time at various distances and has entered the world of ultras. A few years after his first 26.2 finish, he started a blog and online identity under the name Pavement Runner.
He continues to provide inspiration and motivation to the running community through his blog and social networks, but has definitely been on the receiving end of encouragement from fellow runners.
As a California native and Bay Area resident, Brian can often be found training in San Francisco and challenging his limits by running trails in the East Bay. Although he runs several events a year, he is always looking for opportunities to push his endurance running to the next level.
Outside of running, he works as a graphic and web designer and recently opened an online store selling self-designed running tech shirts.
